Suspected Drunk Driver Causes Three Car Accident on I-75 Central Expressway in Richardson, Texas May 2, 2010

Richardson police closed southbound lanes of North Central Expressway on Sunday, May 2, 2010 after a suspected drunken driver traveling the wrong way in an HOV lane caused an accident. The suspected drunken driver, 20-year-old Jose Sanchez-Quezada of Dallas, and three others were hospitalized. The accident occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. on the I-75 at Arapaho Road. Mr. Sanchez-Quezada was driving a Volkswagen Jetta northbound in a southbound HOV lane. A Cadillac swerved to avoid the Jetta, but was unsuccessful. The Cadillac was followed by an Acura, which also attempted to avoid the Jetta, but was unsuccessful. Two passengers in the Acura and the driver of the Cadillac were taken to the hospital.
